Caroline and Martin from The Vale Wildlife Hospital
The Vale Wildlife Hospital is an amazing lifeline for badgers, as well as many other wild species including mammals, birds and reptiles.
For many years Warwickshire Badger Group has taken injured badgers to The Vale. Over the past few years we’ve helped to rehome orphaned badgers in Warwickshire, finding suitable abandoned or empty setts that would be idea for a newly formed clans of five or six young cubs to give them a second chance at life.
At our next Open Meeting, we are delighted to welcome Caroline and Martin who will talk about the history of The Vale, the rescued and injured animals they care for and rehabilitate, with the aim of returning as many as possible back to the wild.
In 2022, The Vale treated 7,542 casualties and this year to date (as at October), they’ve treated 6,379 animals.
The daily running costs to support injured wildlife has been rising astronomically so at this meeting we will be donating the proceeds from the raffle to The Vale along with a donation for their presentation. If you are able to contribute a raffle prize, then please do so for this worthy cause.
